Suicide Linux is a trojan on Linux (that may also be in some cases a PUP) that changes any remotely incorrect command on to "rm -rf /", which will delete the user's hard drive.

Payload Edit

Suicide Linux05:18

Suicide Linux

Upon installation it hooks into all terminal sessions created by the user after installation. The payload by default can't activate due to the fact that Linux doesn't launch terminal sessions as administrator (which would allow the hard drive deletion to take place) that prevents execution of the payload. However if the terminal is launched as an administrator if a command is misspelled, without warning, processes it as rm -rf /, causing full hard drive deletion.
