Virus.DOS.Satanic.1345 or Satanic is a virus that runs on MS-DOS.
When the virus executed, it appears as a clone of CopyQM utility (and probably works). It does infect memory sectors.
Upon setting the date as February 24th, 1995, when executed after reboot, the virus displays a message that says:
LIFE IT SEEMS WILL FADE AWAY DRIFTING FURTHER EVERY DAY GETTING LOST WITHIN MYSELF NOTHING MATTERS NO ONE ELSE I HAVE LOST THE WILL TO LIVE SIMPLY NOTHING MORE TO GIVE THERE IS NOTHING MORE FOR ME NEED THE END TO SET ME FREE THINGS NOT WHAT THEY USED TO BE MISSING ONE INSIDE OF ME DEATHLY LOST THIS CAN'T BE REAL CANNOT STAND THIS HELL I FEEL EMPTINESS IS FILLING ME TO THE POINT OF AGONY GROWING DARKNESS TAKING DAWN I WAS ME BUT NOW HE'S GONE HAVE A NICE DAY SATANIC WARRIOR
which is an explicit reference to Fade To Black, a song by Metallica.
When the text is completely displayed, the virus routine activated, wiping out hard disk.
It also keep infect the computer somehow, even after reinstalling DOS. This can be determined by entering debug mode and browsing through the memory.
