Hello. If you are still able to read this message, we have a few things we would like to say.
Firstly, thank you for all of your exceptional work helping us with this wiki. We can not truly show you how grateful we are for all of your help with new information for pages and translations.
However, we do have a few questions: we are curious to why you are leaving, if you still have an interest in malware, and if you will come back at any time.
We wish you the best to wherever you will be going, and wish to thank you for everything you have done.
Hi i heard i can talk to you about why i came here in the first place. I was iinterested in computer viruses since i was young, Probally because i gave the computer my family had viruses. Well now im here to test viruses in vms like my favorite Youtuber Danoct1.
As it seems some people are creating strange pages as well as making destructive edits, what should we do about all the new pages being created? It seems there is not much information to back up the information...
Due to vandalism, it now requires an account to edit, are there any other steps to be taken to deal with these issues? (LeTesla seems to be currently inactive...)
VX Heaven: Full indices of malware with alias, MD5 hash and sample size, you can find the variants easily, while the file downloading feature is currently not available and the site often goes down (but I don't know why).
Open Malware: I usually get samples from this size. Since there is only a search box for you, you will need to have the alias of the malware before obtaining the sample. However there is point that is quite stupid that, you cannot include keywords like hyphen or baseline, meaning that you cannot search malware having a name that include such characters directly (input hash value instead). Password is required to unzip the downloaded samples.
VX-archiv: Also a good site, and it supports the characters that are not in Open Malware's search, in case Open Malware is down for maintenance, I would get samples from here. Password is required in order to unzip the samples.
Recently I am busy, the malware researching was still paused.
