Joke Programs are non-viral, non-spreading and mostly harmless programs that don't normally cause damage to computers.

The main purpose of Joke Programs are to annoy or entertain the user. Joke programs are sometimes detected by Antivirus programs because they may interfere with the normal work of a computer.

None are self-replicating, although they could be conceivably be infected with other malware. Some Joke programs are damaging, such as WinFastener and Lose/Lose.

An example of a Joke Program is Gollum, and others include Anywork, FakeDel, FakeFormat and Small.
