When the virus is run, it infects the first uninfected DOS executable in the current directory. If there are no more files to infect in the current directory, then it would search in the parent directory for more files to infect.
The infection size varies in different files.
When an infected program is run, the monitor screen resolution is set to 640x480 and, in turn, transitions to a television-like snowy screen, accompanied by a high-frequency tone produced by the PC speaker. In some cases, the payload be just a black screen, or a flickering screen, depending on the video card used by the system. The payload is intended to scare the user.
