In this video, I will show how to remove these unwanted toolbars and annoying adware/malware pop-ups that come from a PUP Optional OpenCandy
First of all what is PUP Optional Conduit OpenCandy?
PUP.Optional.OpenCandy is not a virus, Its software that comes bundled in freeware software. These can be malicious software adware or toolbars and They can be hard to remove and extremely annoying. So when installing freeware software or any other software, make sure to read the licence terms.
Just for demonstration purposes, I deliberately infected my computer with these adwares/malwares brought by the PUP Optional OpenCandy so I could show you or guide you how to remove it step-by-step.
Here are the steps:
1. Uninstall conduit and unwanted applications from your Pc. Go to "Control Panel\Programs and Features". Restart if in the process you are asked to do so.
2. If there are 2 or more unwanted programs installed in your computer, repeat step one until those programs are gone.
3. Disable or delete unwanted search engines and add-ons from your internet browser like Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer
