ColorBug appears as an executable file, but the user will notice the .exe file lacks an icon. When run, nothing will really happen until the user reboots the system. It has installed itself to the registry, so when the computer is booted up, the user will soon realize the color palette has changed (colors are random). However, the virus fails to lock display settings, so the user can quickly change the color scheme back to default.
It's not a very destructive virus but can be pretty annoying, as it takes a while before the user figures out how to change the color scheme. However, it can help detect the NoStart program.
